Bring the Tropics Home

Our Bromeliad Mix is the perfect way to add variety and colour to your indoor space.   These unique plants are famous for their stunning, vibrant bracts (often mistaken for flowers) and their fantastic, varied foliage.   Because they are shipped as pups, you get the satisfaction of watching them mature and develop their spectacular colour over time.

What's in the mix?

We hand-select five different genera (types) of bromeliad pups to ensure a fantastic, diverse mix of shapes and colours for your collection.   You might receive pups from popular groups such as Neoregelia, Aechmea, Guzmania, or Billbergia—it’s a bit of a lucky dip!

Key Features & Care:

  • Vibrant Colour: Known for their long-lasting, often intense and colourful display.

  • Low Maintenance: Generally very easy to care for, thriving on minimal attention.

  • Perfect Indoors: Highly adaptable to indoor environments, making them ideal housemates.

  • Light: They do best in bright, indirect light—near a sunny window is usually spot-on.

  • Watering: Water the central "cup" of the plant and keep the potting mix barely damp.

Bromeliads are a spectacularly varied family, renowned for their stunning forms and often vivid, long-lasting colours. Most people know the Pineapple (Ananas genus), but that’s just the beginning!   This family includes plants that grow on trees (epiphytes) and others that grow happily in the soil, offering a huge range of shapes and styles for every grower.

Meet the Family:

  • Tillandsia (Air Plants): The ultimate low-fuss plant.   They don't need soil and thrive attached to driftwood or rock, typically featuring small, delicate gray-green leaves.

  • Guzmania & Vriesea: Popular choices known for their bold, brightly coloured flower bracts that emerge dramatically from the central leaf rosette.

  • Aechmea: Often recognised by their arching, slightly spiky foliage and impressive flower spikes.

  • Neoregelia & Nidularium: Both give that 'bird nest' look. Neoregelia are loved for the brilliant colouring that appears in the centre of the leaves, while Nidularium offer a similar but distinct charm.

  • Cryptyantus: The terrestrial specialists. Look for their flattened rosettes and striking, often striped and wavy leaves.

  • Dyckia: A statement maker! These form dense, tightly clustered rosettes that are super spiky and hardy.

Whether you're after a bold, colourful centrepiece or a unique epiphyte, there's a bromeliad to fit the bill!
