Peperomia obtusifolia "Red Edge'
Information
This variety is highly valued for its visual appeal, featuring lovely dark green leaves set against noticeably red stalks and stems, giving it a very lush, striking look.
We have listed it under the common trade name 'Red Edge', and while the leaves should have that distinctive red edge, it may just need a stronger, brighter light than it's currently receiving here to fully develop that colour.
Like most Peperomia, it's very easy to grow and will do well in bright to low indirect light or filtered morning light. Use a free-draining soil and always allow it to dry out between waterings, especially during the colder winter months.
The world of Peperomia is incredibly diverse, offering a huge range of varieties suitable for nearly any indoor spot.
You'll find everything from tiny, compact plants like the 'Pixie' to the more substantial and chunky obtusifolia types.
Their growth habits vary too: some are creeping and will trail over the edge of a pot, while others maintain a nice, uniform shape, making them perfect for desks and shelves.
A fun, easy-care houseplant to collect!
