I’ve always thought that if you want to understand your plants, you’ve got to get your hands in the dirt.

Looking is one thing, but actually touching the soil and feeling the weight of the pot tells you so much more. This photo is a perfect example—it’s the simplest way to check what’s going on beneath the surface. For me, plant care is all about that hands-on connection, rather than following a strict set of rules or relying on gadgets.
