Any outstanding orders placed over the holiday period will resume processing from 5th January.

With such short weeks, I don't feel secure about posting and possibly having plants sitting in limbo for over a week.

I hope you are ok with this decision.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all.

and Propagation.

Settling In.

If your Epiphyllum has arrived as a cutting, there is no hurry to plant it up.  These plants are remarkably resilient and can wait until you are ready.

Potting & Rooting (Propagation).

When you are ready to plant your cuttings, keep these key tips in mind:

  • The Mix: Use a dry, free-draining mix.

  • The Rule: Plant into dry mix and do not water until the cutting has successfully developed roots.  Adding water too early to a rootless cutting is the quickest way to cause rot.

Light & Water

It is a common mistake to treat these like sun-loving, prickly desert cacti. To keep them happy, remember their jungle origins:

  • Sun: They prefer bright, filtered light. Morning sun is perfect, but avoid harsh, scorching afternoon heat.

  • Environment: They enjoy moisture and humidity. Think of them more like orchids than desert cacti!
